Breksi Cliff
Breksi Cliff is a tourist spot in Sleman Regency. The location is south of Prambanan Temple , and adjacent to Ijo Temple and Boko Palace Complex. Location of Tourism Breksi Cliff Jogja is in Sambirejo, Prambanan, Sambirejo, Prambanan, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region 55572. 
History
Before becoming a tourist spot, the location of the Tebing Breksi Park was a natural rock mining site. This mining activity is carried out by the surrounding community. In the vicinity of the mining site, there are rock cuttings resulting from mining to be used as building decoration materials.
Since 2014, mining activities in this place have been closed by the government. This closure is based on the results of a study which states that the rock in this mining location is a rock derived from volcanic activity of the Nglanggeran Volcano. Then the mining location is designated as a protected place and is not permitted for mining activities.
After the closure of the mining activity, the community decorated the former mining location to become a tourist spot worth visiting. Precisely in May 2015, the Breccia Cliff was inaugurated by Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X as a new tourist attraction in Jogja.
Tourism potential
The presence of cliffs which are also used as one of the tourist attractions must have certain reasons that make this tourist attraction called to be one of the interesting tourist attractions to visit. Because the potential of natural tourism has many things that should not be missed, including a view of a cliff wall with broken ornaments that look so artistic.Because, basically this cliff was indeed formed millions of years ago and used as a mining site. Although at present it is no longer used as a mining site, but the remnants of mining activities are able to present carved ornaments that make the cliff look like a layer cake. That is what has become one of its potential, so this one is very interesting to visit. Photographs against a cliff background, seems to be one of the things that must be done.Therefore, it is not surprising that this cliff is one of the favorite places to take pictures, especially for couples who are doing prewedding sessions and other special moments. The most special thing when on this cliff is, from the top of the cliff the tourists can see the whole city of Jogja, even community activities can be seen from the top of the cliff, such as planes taking off, vehicles back and forth and so forth.

Visiting Breksi requires the right time strategy. If tourists want to enjoy the morning sun (sunrise) in addition to recognizing the ancient stone, volunteers “Lowo Ijo” who manage the village tour are ready to receive guests at 05.00 WIB. If tourists have stayed in the city of Yogyakarta or its surroundings, one hour beforehand must be prepared to go to a location that is about 15 km.
Sun rise tourism is very exciting because the view from the top of the rock directly hit the sun. Conversely, if you want the beauty of the sun towards dusk (sunset), tourists must be prepared at the location at 17.00 WIB. Although close to the city of Yogyakarta, the potential for heavy traffic in the afternoon can disappoint tourists who want to accompany the sunset. Alternatively, Breksi geotourism can be enjoyed at midday and night. When the sun is blazing, volcanic rocks are increasingly concentrated in color.
While at night, the rays of the lights impressed the breksi stones like a magnificent king’s palace. If lucky, nighttime breksi tours can while enjoying music at the foot of the rock hill which is set to become an entertainment stage area.
